Similar to the Road Surface Tester, IMS is prepared to deploy our SST (Sidewalk Surface Tester) for a complete objective analysis of your city’s most trafficked pedestrian walkways.

The sidewalk survey process gathers video, imagery, and GIS information to create a detailed overview of the city’s sidewalk inventory.

​The data is poured over by our expert analysis team to determine the extent of sidewalk deterioration and any ADA violations in a given area.

Analysis 

Following the analysis, the images, analysis results and GIS information is given to city managers in the form of a written report.

This allows a council to easily identify concerns and work proactively to solve any discovered issues.

​Like the pavement report, this report can also be given in the form of a city council presentation in order to promote a clear-eyed view of the city’s current and upcoming sidewalk needs.
