Careers @ IMS
Driver / Field Technician

Would you like to drive a laser-equipped van throughout North America to assess roads for cracks, distresses, and other road-related issues? We are looking for energetic and adventurous technicians to work with us as we partner with cities and counties in the US and Canada.
We offer health/dental benefits, plenty of overtime, growth opportunities, and covered life expenses. We’re looking for someone who is ready to hit the road to help us continue serving our clients in North America by operating one of our specialized pieces of equipment - a modified Ford E-350 van equipped with lasers, accelerometers, and other technology. You would be joining a crew of 3 as a driver, but with opportunities to gain skills and rise in the ranks.
If you are self-motivated individual, who works well with others and is interested in developing a new career that offers growth, independence, and travel, then this position is for you.
When we say “traveling”, we mean it. THIS IS A 100% TRAVEL POSITION. The selected candidate will be traveling for three months at a time, followed by one week off and then back to a three month rotation. Travel will be across the United States and, eventually, Canada.
The Position
Working as part of a three person team, the Driver / Operator is responsible for driving a specialized survey vehicle on projects across the United States. The field crew consists of three people - the driver, a field technician and a crew chief. The driver/operator is responsible for driving and daily maintenance of the van. Advancement is through experience gained on the job.
You would be part of a crew of operators who spend 2-6 weeks in a city or county collecting data. You would have your own extended-stay hotel room and a pay structure that targets $50,000+ for annual compensation without having to pay for life expenses.
The Company

Per Diem in Cash: $35/day
On top of that:

Also, we pay to fly you home after a 3-month stint for a week off, have 2 weeks of PTO earned each year, and give you holidays off (including a week off for Christmas/New Years).
Compensation increases as you gain experience, add to your skill sets, and grow in your responsibilities.
