Careers @ IMS
Marketing Manager
Our marketing needs some help. We don’t have a social media presence or SEM/SEO initiatives. We use Weebly for our corporate website. We don’t use email, newsletters, webinars, thought leadership, content marketing, or anything else besides cold calls to proactively get the word out to our clients. We attend a couple conferences with a homemade booth and no clear way to collect information from leads we meet.
In other words, we need a marketing manager. And not just any marketing manager - one who sees our lack of marketing as one of the most exciting opportunities they have come across. Someone who not only has the skill sets to build what we need, but has the eye for excellence and design that ensures that we will do marketing well and look good doing it. This person cannot be intimidated by the amount that needs to be accomplished, but instead is a ruthless prioritizer with the ability to execute in the short term while staying true to longer-term planning.
To be clear, you won’t be on your own. We have a great team of about 40 employees that includes a technical writer who is a talented copywriter / marketing writer, and a strong sales team with deep industry experience. You would report for the time being to the CEO who is dedicated to ensuring that this effort has support and resources. This will be a large undertaking, but you will have a team by your side, working with you to succeed.
If this description has energized you, you’ve got the attitude we’re looking for. Here’s a little more about us:
Infrastructure Management Services uses technology to help cities and counties throughout North America to assess the condition of their streets and sidewalks. Our firm then uses that information to help government officials decide how to use their funding to make the biggest impact in improving their streets. We have been doing this for more than 30 years but are always looking to do a better job and provide more services to our clients. With new ownership, we’re pursuing a new strategy of growth in this industry, which is why we’ve grown from 30 to 40 employees in 9 months and are looking to heavily invest in a marketing function.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for a variety of initiatives that should produce warm leads for our sales team. Initially, the role will be heavily focused on creating new process, content, etc to get this up and running.
